For landlords

Rent arrears calculator

Four fields. The amount outstanding, how many months of rent that is, and the date the next payment falls due.

The rent account

Monthly rent
Day of the month rent is dueA day after the 28th is counted on the 28th, because not every month has one.
Date the account was last clear
Total paid since then

This page is general information. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for advice on your own tenancy. This figure is only as good as the dates and payments you type in. It is an estimate from four fields, so it does not check the dates your tenancy actually sets, how payments were allocated, or any change in the rent along the way. It is not a statement of what is owed and it is not evidence: a rent statement showing every payment with its date is what a court or an adjudicator looks at. Nothing you type leaves your browser. We do not receive it, and nothing is saved.

As at today

  • Payments that have fallen due
  • Rent due over that period
  • Paid
  • Outstanding
  • Next payment falls due

Alongside the number

A figure on its own carries nothing

01A statement, not a total

Every payment with its date and the balance after it, so the figure can be followed by somebody who was not there.

02What you have sent

Dates and copies of every reminder. A reminder that was never sent is the gap that shows up later.

03What the tenant told you

A benefit claim being processed, a change of job, a dispute about a repair. It changes what happens next.

Keep the record, not the paperwork

VEYLO X holds the tenancy record both sides read, so the dates and the documents are in one place.
